Is it possible to have liberation without some form of renunciation?

Is it possible to engage in the madness of conventional living and yet achieve some stable form of liberation?

I think not. Best of both worlds just doesn’t happen. Oil and water do not mix. It may sound pessimistic, but it has consistently been my findings.

Can you be passionate about making tons of money and yet be resting the mind at the same time?

Can you want recognition and yet be accepting of being a nobody?

Additionally, whom we interact with also have an impact. This is especially so with serious relationships.
